Pastoral:
Assist the Sr. Pastor and Session as needed.
Be available to preach when needed.
Help where needed in areas of worship.
Regularly participate in hospital and crisis ministry as needed/assigned.
Youth and Children:
Coordinate the development and implementation of a compreshensive youth and children ministry plan (K-12 grade)
Enlist, train and supervise all Youth and Children Ministry leaders while maintaining proper ratios in order to achieve the educational ministry goals of the church.
Organize and plan events.
Provide pastoral guidance and care as needed to youth, children, and their families.
Develop a strategy of evangelism and discipleship to reach youth for Christ and help them grow in their faith.
Facilitate youth and children in utilizing their gifts in the life, ministry, and leadership of the church.
Nurture youth and children ministry in the context of family, this strengthening the importance of community and Christian caring in those relationships.
Inititate procedures for evaluating all aspects of youth and children ministry.
Recommend appropriate resources for various aspects of youth and children ministry.
Maintain regular communication with youth, adult leaders, parents, and church staff.
Develop effective publicity for youth and children ministries in our church and community.
Minister to parents and/or guardians of young people in the church and community.
Stay informed on new and effective ways to minister to young people.
